With Easter approaching, I decided to make this soft pan brioche dove with a delicious filling. A very beautiful dessert to present on tables and share with our loved ones.
Super soft rolls to enjoy bite after bite. Come with me and let’s start creating.
Enjoy the recipe, Giusi.

Ingredients
- 4 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 0.5 oz fresh yeast (or 1 tsp of dry yeast)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk (lukewarm)
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
Steps
If you prefer, you can also knead with a planetary mixer following the usual steps.
In a bowl pour the lukewarm milk and dissolve the yeast in it. With the help of a fork, mix and add the sugar, oil, egg, and flour gradually.
Work the dough until you create a homogeneous dough ball. If necessary, add more flour. Once the dough ball is ready, place it in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise for three hours in a warm place.
After the rising time, pour the dough on a floured surface and make balls of about 1.25 oz each, flatten with your hands and place a teaspoon of hazelnut cream or jam in the center.
Take the edges and bring towards the center creating a ball and place on a buttered and floured pan (I used a dove-shaped mold, but if you don’t have one, arrange the balls in a row next to each other, starting from a row of one ball, then 2 balls, then 3 and so on to recreate the dove shape (see photo below)
Leave to rise again for about 1 hour, covered with plastic wrap in a warm place.
Bake in a preheated static oven at 340°F for 25 minutes.
