Penne with Broccoli Rabe Cream and Sausage

Sausage and broccoli rabe are absolutely my favorite combination for pizza, bruschetta, and especially pasta. In this case, I propose penne with broccoli rabe cream and sausage… a real delight.

The ingredients blend perfectly together thanks to the broccoli rabe cream. Imagine that even my husband, who doesn’t really like this vegetable, appreciates this dish a lot, enjoying it bite after bite.

Ingredients

  • 7 oz Penne
  • 9 oz broccoli rabe
  • 2 sausages
  • 1 glass Water (or wine)
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil

Steps

Both fresh and frozen broccoli rabe are fine.

  • Blanch the broccoli rabe for 10 minutes in salted boiling water, drain them, and pour them into a glass and blend with a mixer.

    In the meantime, pour a drizzle of oil in a pan and crumble the sausage inside and cook for the necessary time, halfway through, deglaze with water or wine.

    Turn off the stove, pour the broccoli rabe cream inside.

    In the meantime, cook the pasta, drain it, and toss it inside the pan with the sauce.

    Stir-fry for a minute to mix well.
