Pizzas like those from the Bakery

Pizzas like those from the bakery.

How delicious are these pizzas? These pizzas are very similar to those sold in bars and bakeries: they are soft, tall, and fluffy like a cloud. Perfect for a family dinner or with friends, ideal for buffets or appetizers. They are very easy to prepare, just respect the rising times. For the topping, you can get creative, they are good in every way. Come with me, let’s start cooking.

Happy cooking, Giusi.

Ingredients for pizzas like those from the bakery

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 oz dry yeast
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1.5 tbsps granulated sugar
  • 1.25 cups milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • as needed Tomato puree
  • as needed Pizza mozzarella

Steps for pizzas like those from the bakery

You can mix by hand or with a stand mixer.

  • In a bowl pour the flour with the yeast; I always prefer to dissolve the yeast in a small glass with milk. Pour the milk slowly, also add the sugar, pieces of butter, and finally the salt.

Work all the ingredients well until you get a homogeneous dough. If you use a stand mixer, the dough will be ready when it sticks all around the hook.
Place the obtained dough in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let rise for at least three hours.

  • After the rising time, pour the dough onto a floured work surface, create a loaf, and cut it in half. Cut 16 small dough portions each weighing about 2.5 oz.
Press each dough portion with your fingertips and make folds from the outside towards the inside from all four sides and then form a ball; place each ball on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Create all the balls, press them with your fingers, cover with plastic wrap and let rise for another 30 minutes. After the second rising time, put a tablespoon of previously seasoned tomato puree on each pizza.

Preheat the oven to 356°F and bake for 10 minutes, after this time add the chosen topping and mozzarella and bake for another 5 minutes. Once the pizzas are out of the oven, they will be very soft, (it may seem that the dough is raw, but it’s not, trust me), let them cool for a few minutes and then enjoy with immense satisfaction.

  • The pizzas are ready to be enjoyed.
