What I propose to you today is the plate pizza like the one from the pizzeria. A very dear friend gave me this recipe, and I assure you that once you try it, you won’t let it go. A perfect dough, light and tasty. I’m sure it will win you over too. Come with me, let’s start messing around. Enjoy the recipe, Giusy.

Ingredients for the plate pizza
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 0.1 oz fresh yeast
- 1 1/3 cups water
- 2 tsp salt
Steps for the plate pizza
Pour the flour with the crumbled yeast into the bowl and mix. Start pouring the water in a stream.
Once all the water is incorporated, add the salt and continue kneading until you get a smooth dough ball.
Place the dough ball inside a bowl and cover with plastic wrap, let it rise for 3 hours (or more) inside the oven; turn on the oven light for the last two hours.
Once the rising time has passed, pour the dough onto a heavily floured work surface. Do not rework the dough: you only need to create a loaf and divide it into three parts.
For each dough ball, create folds from the outside to the inside on all four sides.
Once the three dough balls are created, cover with the tray and let rise for another hour. Once the rising time has passed, place the dough balls on parchment paper.
Start stretching with the help of your hands from the center outward, creating high edges and a thin center.
Season the base with the seasoned tomato sauce and sausage (or whatever you prefer), or leave it white, and bake at 392 Fahrenheit in a preheated static oven for 15 minutes.
Add the mozzarella after 10 minutes of baking, so it melts perfectly without burning. The plate pizza is ready to be enjoyed. See you in the next recipe 😘
