Ingredients for Savory Puff Pastries
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 4 oz cooked ham
- 3.5 oz mozzarella (in pieces)
Steps for Savory Puff Pastries
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Unroll the puff pastry on a baking sheet.
Place the cooked ham over the entire surface.
Evenly distribute the mozzarella cut into pieces. If you are also using spinach as I did (about 9 oz), spread it over the mozzarella. Attention: do not overfill the filling, or it may spill out during baking.Roll the pastry from the long side, tightly, to create a compact roll.
With the help of a serrated knife, cut the roll into slices about 1.5-2 inches each to create your “puff pastries.” Don’t make them too small to prevent the filling from spilling.
Place the obtained rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
(Optional) Brush the surface with beaten egg and decorate with seeds.
Bake at 356°F for about 20-25 minutes or until fully golden.
These quick savory rolls are a true table triumph, combining the crunchiness of puff pastry with the soft and tasty heart of mixed filling. A perfect and quick appetizer that will make your parties special.
