Semolina Cake

The semolina cake is a delicate and creamy dessert, simple, easy, and quick. To make this semolina dessert you will only need a few ingredients. Milk, sugar, eggs, and of course semolina, with just a few steps you’ll create a very creamy cake. There are many versions of semolina cake, I propose my very simple but highly delicious one. You can decide to make the semolina cake even more tempting with melted chocolate or chocolate chips inside the batter. I simply added some pine nuts on top before baking.

Ingredients

These ingredients are for a 9.5-inch diameter pan

  • 2 3/4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla (Or vanilla powder)
  • 6 1/3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 5 1/2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup semolina
  • 2 eggs

Steps

  • Pour the milk into a high-sided pot and bring it almost to a boil, then add the vanilla. When the milk is almost boiling, begin adding the semolina and stir until the mixture becomes creamy. Remove the pot from the stove and add the sugar and butter, stirring until all the ingredients are combined. Pour the mixture into a bowl and let it cool. Once cooled, start adding the eggs one at a time.

  • Butter and sprinkle breadcrumbs into a 9.5-inch diameter pan and pour the mixture inside

  • Bake in the LOWER PART OF THE OVEN (this will prevent the cake from browning too much on top) in a preheated static oven at 340°F for 40 minutes. Once the time has passed, let the cake cool completely inside the pan.

  • The semolina cake is ready to be enjoyed.
