Snowball Cookies are light, crumbly, and tasty, but above all, very easy to make!
I called them that because, before baking, they are rolled in powdered sugar, creating a beautiful “snow” effect. They are simple and ideal at any time of the day.
The great thing is that they are made using only one bowl: just mix all the ingredients until you get a consistent and workable dough. Shaping them is easy, just make simple balls with your hands.
You can also customize the recipe as you like: add orange zest, lemon zest, vanilla extract, or a tablespoon of cinnamon to the dough. It’s up to you!

Ingredients for Snowball Cookies.
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup potato starch
- 1 egg
- 3 1/2 tbsps milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsps baking powder
- Powdered sugar (For coating)
Steps for Snowball Cookies
With the help of a fork, work the egg with the sugar.
Add the oil and milk and mix well.
Begin to incorporate the flour (previously sifted) and the baking powder.
The dough will be very soft, but perfectly workable.
Take small pieces of dough and with the help of your hands create balls.
Important: Prepare all the balls first and only then roll them in powdered sugar. If you do it right away, the dough will absorb all the sugar before baking, removing the beautiful white coating!
Place the Snowball Cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake at 356 degrees Fahrenheit in a preheated static oven for 18-20 minutes.
Once baked, let the cookies cool completely before touching them.
