In our family, this is definitely our favorite cake. A soft cake that blends perfectly with custard and apple. A complete cake that wins you over bite after bite. Ideal at the end of a meal or even for breakfast to start the day off right. I’m sure it will win you over too. The soft apple and cream cake is a true guarantee.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 packet baking powder
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk (At room temperature)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 vial vanilla flavoring (Or vanilla extract)
- 1 apple
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tbsps cornstarch
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar

You can use a round mold with a diameter of 9 to 9 1/2 inches
I used a square pan 8 x 8 inches.
Steps for the custard
First, prepare the custard which needs to cool down. Pour the milk into a saucepan and start heating it, meanwhile in a bowl, mix the sugar with the eggs using a hand whisk, add the cornstarch. Pour some of the warm milk into the bowl, mix, and then pour everything back into the milk saucepan. Cook over low heat and stir until the desired consistency is reached. Once cooking is finished, pour the cream into a container and cover it with cling film touching the surface.
Beat the eggs with the sugar using an electric mixer until fluffy and foamy. Start adding the oil and milk slowly, add the vanilla flavoring, baking powder, and flour gradually (to avoid the flour cloud that usually spreads throughout the kitchen, add the flour by placing it on the side of the bowl and slowly incorporate it with the mixer)
Once the batter is ready, pour it into the greased and floured mold. Peel an apple and cut it into very thin slices. Take the now warm custard and with the help of a spoon, start placing it on the cake batter, at this point also insert the apple slices.
Bake at 356°F in a preheated static oven for about 35 minutes.
