A very soft cake enriched with custard. A simple dessert that always conquers everyone. The cake with custard is ideal at any time of the day and is very easy to make. A dessert that satisfies everyone, both adults and children. I decided to give it a roll shape by simply placing the custard in a food bag with the tip cut off, but you can easily use spoons to arrange the custard on top before baking.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsps cornstarch
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
Steps
Heat the milk in a saucepan, in a bowl mix the egg with the sugar and starch, add the now hot milk, mix well and pour everything into the saucepan, cook on the stove, stirring continuously until it thickens. Once the custard is ready, cover it with plastic wrap touching the surface and let it cool.
Whisk the eggs with the sugar using an electric mixer for about 5 minutes, gradually pour in the oil and milk. Add the flour in multiple sifted additions and finally the baking powder, let the beaters work for a few minutes, the batter will be very dense. Pour into a 9-9.5 inch round pan lined with parchment paper or greased and floured.
Take the now cooled custard and place it inside a food bag or piping bag, cut the tip and place it over the cake batter. Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F in the center for 40 minutes, if the surface darkens too much after 25 minutes, cover with parchment paper.
Allow the cake to cool completely inside the pan.
