The jam cookies are soft and cute treats, very easy and quick to make. You prepare a dough without butter, fill them with your favorite jam, and bake them in no time.
With this recipe, no molds or cutters are needed. Just prepare the shortcrust pastry, roll it out, fill with jam, make two folds, and create strips that will then be rolled to create pinwheels. Come with me, let’s start baking right away.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (or pastry flour)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (or granulated)
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 7 oz raspberry jam
Steps
In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and powdered sugar.
Gradually add the warm milk, a pinch of salt, then oil, and finally add the egg.
Start kneading with your hands, place the dough on a floured surface and work it until you create a soft and smooth dough.
Roll out the dough to form a rectangle 14 inches long and 10 inches wide. Spread the jam, and from the longer side, fold one part up and one part down.
Using a knife, cut strips about 1.25 inches each, then twist and roll them onto themselves.
Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for 20 minutes.
