To make this soft tart, I used a different shortcrust pastry than usual. This dough remains soft and perfectly combines with the filling. This dough is also perfect for making soft cookies.
But now come with me and let’s start baking, happy recipe.
Giusi
- Difficulty: Very Easy
- Preparation time: 5 Minutes
- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
These ingredients are for a mold with a diameter of 9-9.5 inches.
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3.5 tbsp vegetable oil (or extra virgin olive oil)
- 3.5 tbsp milk
- 12.35 oz hazelnut cream
Steps
In a bowl, mix the flour and powdered sugar. Gradually add the oil and milk, then add the egg and baking powder. Start kneading with your hands, place the dough on a lightly floured surface, and work it until it forms a homogeneous dough
Roll out the dough fairly thinly directly on parchment paper. If necessary, flour the surface. Place the dough inside a silicone mold or a greased and floured mold, trim the edges with a knife. Fill with hazelnut cream or jam. With the leftover dough, create strips and lay them on the surface.
I also added pine nuts on the surface. Bake in a preheated static oven at 355°F for about 25 minutes. Once baked, let it cool completely inside the mold.
