Stick Cookies

Cookie sticks to enjoy. They are very simple treats, made with my soft Shortcrust Pastry that makes the doughs crumbly and soft like snacks.

Stick cookies are ideal for a tasty, genuine, and also delicious breakfast thanks to the chocolate chips included in the dough. Come with me, let’s start baking right away. Happy cooking, Giusi.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3.5 tbsp Milk (Warm)
  • 3.5 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 egg (at room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (or granulated)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup Chocolate chips

Steps

  • Mix the flour, powdered sugar, and baking powder in a bowl.
    Add also the oil and the warm milk.
    Pour in the egg and mix.
    When the dough is almost compact, add the chocolate chips and two tablespoons of flour, work the mixture well. (If needed, add more flour).

    Create a rectangle of 12 inches length and 8 inches width, cut into sticks, and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

    In the oven at 356°F in a preheated static oven for 15 minutes.
