The ultra soft milk cake is prepared in just 5 minutes: when I have little time, but don’t want to miss out on something good and fluffy, I always think of this practical batter and fabulous.

Ingredients for the Milk Cake
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (I used type 1 flour)
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup milk (Plant-based milk is also fine)
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 3/4 cup sliced almonds (Optional)

Pan 9 inches diameter
Steps
In the bowl, work the sugar with the eggs, also pour in the milk and then the oil.
Add the flour and the previously sifted baking powder and mix all the ingredients well.
Pour the mixture into a 9-inch diameter pan lined with parchment paper or greased and floured.
Bake at 350°F in a preheated static oven for 30 minutes, always do the toothpick test; if it comes out dry, the cake is ready, otherwise extend the baking by another five minutes.
The ultra soft milk cake is ready to be enjoyed.

Storage
You can store the milk cake under a glass dome or in an airtight container for about 3-4 days. It will retain all its incredible softness.
If you prefer, you can also slice the cake and freeze it in suitable food bags: this way you’ll have a ready breakfast in a few minutes, just let it thaw at room temperature or warm it slightly.
