Ingredients
I used type 1 flour, but you can use any flour you prefer. Just remember that each flour has different absorption rates. This batter should be very thick.
- 2 cups flour (I used type 1 flour)
- 1/4 cup Milk (Warm)
- 1 cup yogurt (I used vanilla flavor)
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp baking powder
Steps
In a bowl, pour the sugar and the yogurt, and mix using a spatula or a fork.
Also pour in the oil, milk, flour and the baking powder previously sifted, and mix all the ingredients well.
The batter will be very thick.
Pour the mixture into a 9.5-inch diameter baking pan lined with parchment paper and level it well.
Spread the jam on top of the batter using a spoon and then distribute it well with a fork. It’s not necessary to press it to the bottom as it will settle during baking.
Bake at 350°F in a preheated static oven for 35 minutes. Always test with a toothpick; if it comes out dry, the cake is ready.
The yogurt cake with blueberry jam is ready to be enjoyed. See you in the next recipe.
Storage
The cake can be stored at room temperature or in the fridge.
You can use jam, marmalade, or your favorite creams.
