The batter is prepared in no time (a real dinner saver!) and I assure you the result is truly surprising. To make the batter even more delicious, you can add chocolate chips or fruit pieces before baking. Ingredients for Yogurt and Cocoa Cake

These ingredients are for a 9.5-inch diameter pan, you can also use a larger pan, it will be slightly lower but just as good.

  • 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 7 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Steps for Yogurt and Cocoa Cake

  • In a large bowl, beat the whole eggs with sugar using a hand whisk for a few minutes, until you get a light and fluffy mixture.
    Gradually add the oil, continuing to whisk to fully incorporate it.
    Add the yogurt one spoonful at a time.
    Finally, gradually add, in several stages, the flour, unsweetened cocoa, and baking powder, previously sifted.
    Note: the batter will be very thick. For the final mix, switch to a spatula or spoon to incorporate the dry ingredients without deflating the mixture.

    Line a 9.5-inch diameter pan with parchment paper. A small trick to make it adhere perfectly is to wet and wring it out well before placing it in the pan.
    Pour the thick batter into the pan and level it with the spatula.

  • Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for about 30 minutes. The times may vary slightly depending on your oven.
    To be sure the cake is perfectly cooked, always do the toothpick test: insert it in the center of the cake and if it comes out completely dry, you can remove it from the oven.
