Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sunflower oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 apple
- to taste sugar crystals

- 1 Cake Pan
How to Prepare the Apple and Lemon Cake
In a bowl, combine the eggs, sugar, lemon juice, sunflower oil, milk, flour, and baking powder. Mix with an electric mixer, being careful not to create lumps.
Pour the mixture into a 9.5-inch cake pan, previously buttered and floured.
Place thin slices of apple on the surface. Add sugar crystals, and bake in a hot oven, static at 356°F. Let it cook for about 30/35 minutes. Make sure to check the cooking time based on your oven by using the toothpick test.
Take it out of the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve.
Storage
The cake can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for 2-3 days.

What apples can I use?
You can use different varieties of apples according to your taste (Golden Delicious, Fuji, Renetta, Granny Smith for a more tart touch). Pear could also be an interesting alternative.
