Ingredients
- 3 apples (large diced)
- 1 lemon juice
- 1 lemon zest
- 180 g sugar
- 150 ml milk
- 150 ml sunflower oil
- 330 g all-purpose flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 150 g dark chocolate (in shavings)
- 1 apple (thinly sliced)
- as needed butter
- as needed sugar (for topping)

Apple Chocolate and Lemon Cake
In a bowl, place the diced apples, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
Add the sugar, oil, and milk.
Finally, add the eggs, flour, and baking powder. Mix with the spoon.
Add and incorporate the chocolate shavings.
Pour the batter into a 9.5-inch pan, previously buttered and floured. Cover with thin apple slices.
On the surface, add small pieces of butter, and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F (180°C) for about 35/40 minutes. Make sure to check the baking time based on your oven.
Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and enjoy.
Storage
At room temperature under a glass dome or in an airtight container for 2-3 days. In the refrigerator for up to 5 days, but bring to room temperature before serving. In the freezer: can be frozen already cooked in individual slices for up to two months. Thaw at room temperature.

FAQ
Can I substitute the vegetable oil?
You can substitute it with melted butter, in the same quantity for a richer taste.
Can I substitute all-purpose flour?
It can be replaced with type 1 flour or whole wheat flour (adjusting the liquids slightly).
