Ingredients

For the dough

  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • Half packet baking powder
  • 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup sunflower oil
  • 1 cup mascarpone
  • 3 tablespoons Nutella®
  • to taste sugar (optional)

Tools

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Spoon
  • 1 Fork
  • 1 Parchment paper
  • 1 Cake pan

How to Prepare Autumn Nutella Crumble

  • In a bowl, mix the eggs and sugar with a fork.

  • Add the sunflower oil and mix.

  • Add the flour and baking powder. Start mixing with the fork, then add the chocolate chips and continue to knead by hand. You should obtain a soft, coarse, and non-sticky dough. (If necessary, you can add a bit more flour, but not too much). Set aside for a moment.

  • In a bowl, combine the mascarpone and Nutella. Mix with a spoon to obtain a homogeneous cream. (If you like, you can add a bit of sugar. I didn’t add any).

  • Line a 8 or 9-inch pan with parchment paper. Place about half of the dough at the bottom. Gently flatten it with your hands and try to create a small edge on the sides.

  • Pour the mascarpone and Nutella mixture on top and spread it evenly with a spoon.

  • Cover with the remaining dough, distributing it in large crumbs.

  • Bake in a preheated, static oven at 356°F. Let it cook for about 30 minutes. Please check the cooking times based on your oven.

  • Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and if desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Enjoy.
