Brioche Flowers. Simple and quick treats to prepare. Perfect for breakfast and snacks.

The brioche flowers are simple treats to prepare. They are perfect for the whole family’s breakfast. The necessary ingredients are few and we usually have them at home.

The Nutella on the flower should be added after baking, so if you don’t prefer it you can also use jam, or any other cream. You can make them in various flavors.

As I was saying, the preparation is very simple, but for any doubts, below you’ll also find the video recipe.

But let’s see right away how to prepare the brioche flowers.

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 packet dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seed oil
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 oz anise liqueur (or milk)

Tools

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Spoon
  • 1 Plastic wrap
  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 Parchment paper

How to prepare brioche flowers

  • In a bowl, add: flour, chocolate chips, yeast, and sugar. Stir with a spoon.

  • Add the beaten egg, oil, milk, and anise liqueur. (If you don’t have anise liqueur, you can use another liqueur of your choice or milk). Start mixing with the spoon.

  • When you can no longer mix with the spoon, continue kneading by hand until you obtain a compact and homogeneous dough.

  • Place the dough in a bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rise until doubled in size. This will take about two hours.

  • After the rising time, take the dough, take small portions (about 1 oz), and form small balls.

  • Place 5 balls close together to create a flower shape.

  • Place the flowers on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or silicone mats. I’ve been using silicone mats for a while, and they are a true saving. If you want to take a look, you can find them here.

  • Let them rise for about an hour.

  • Before baking, brush the surface of the flowers with water and sugar (or with milk), and bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F. Let them bake for about 25/30 minutes.

  • Remove from the oven and add a teaspoon of Nutella in the center of each flower.

  • If you like, sprinkle with powdered sugar.

  • Help yourself.
