Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • Half packet baking powder
  • 7 oz chocolate (dark or milk)

Tools

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Baking tray
  • 1 Parchment paper
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Rolling pin

How to prepare chocolate cookie bars

  • In a bowl, place the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, and baking powder packet.

  • Mix all the ingredients well until you obtain a homogeneous and compact dough.

  • Divide the dough into two equal parts. Roll out each part with the rolling pin on a lightly floured parchment paper. You should get two rectangles.

  • On each rectangle, distribute the chopped chocolate. Fold each rectangle like a book, and place everything on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  • Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F, and let it bake for about 25 minutes. Be sure to check the baking times according to your oven.

  • Once baked, remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, then cut the cookies into bars of the desired size.

Storage

Chocolate cookie bars can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for 3-4 days. They can also be frozen for longer storage (1-2 months).
