Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp coffee
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Half packet baking powder
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tbsp milk
  • 1/3 cup sunflower oil

How to Prepare Coffee Filled Cookies

  • In a bowl, place the egg and sugar. Mix with a fork.

  • Add the coffee, oil, and milk. Mix with the fork.

  • Add the flour, cocoa, and baking powder. Knead by hand until you get a compact and homogeneous dough. If necessary, add more flour.

  • Roll out the dough with the help of a rolling pin. You should obtain a long and narrow loaf as wide as the palm of a hand.

  • Add Nutella to the center of the loaf. Then close the edges by bringing them towards the inside to close the loaf.

  • Place the loaf on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush the surface with milk and sprinkle with granulated sugar.

  • Bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F and let cook for about 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and make incisions with a knife that you will use later to cut the cookies. Do not cut all the way through with the knife.

  • Bake for another 20 minutes or so.

  • Remove from the oven, let cool, and cut the cookies following the incisions made previously.
