How to prepare savory waffles

  • In a bowl, add the egg and grated cheese. Mix with a fork.

  • Add the milk and water and mix.

  • Add the flour and yeast. Mix with a hand whisk.

  • Finally, add and incorporate the oil.

  • Mix well until you get a smooth and lump-free mixture.

  • Heat the waffle iron and pour 1 or 2 tablespoons of batter.

(It depends on the size of the iron). If you are looking for a reliable iron, you can find ithere. Cook for about 4 minutes. (Cooking time varies depending on the iron). The waffles are ready when they come off the iron and are golden brown.

  • As an alternative to the waffle iron, there are silicone molds for waffles on the market. With these molds, the waffles need to be baked in the oven. If you want to take a look, you can find them here.

  • Proceed in this way until you finish all the batter.

  • Serve the waffles as they are, or filled like a sandwich.
