The easy Nutella crumble cakes are delicious treats made with shortcrust pastry that are very simple to prepare. They are perfect to enjoy on any occasion.

The dough is that of the crumble that I prepare without butter. For the baking, I used a muffin tin. For the filling, I chose Nutella, but you can replace it with jam or custard.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 4.2 oz sugar
  • 4.2 oz sunflower oil
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • Half packet baking powder
  • as needed chocolate chips
  • as needed Nutella®

Tools

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Fork
  • 1 Muffin tin
  • 1 Teaspoon

How to prepare the easy Nutella crumble cakes

  • In a bowl, add the egg and sugar. Mix with the fork.

  • Add the oil and mix with the fork.

  • Add the flour, baking powder, and chocolate chips. (Add the chocolate chips

    to your liking). Start mixing with the fork.

  • Then continue kneading by hand. The mixture should be crumbly and not uniform.

  • Place a bit of crumbled dough at the bottom of the tin and shape it with your hands to create a small edge.

  • Add a generous teaspoon of Nutella to the center of each crumble cake.

  • Cover with crumbled dough and bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F. Bake for about 25/30 minutes. Make sure to check the baking time according to your oven.

  • Remove from the oven and let the crumble cakes cool well, then take them out of the tins and if you like, dust with powdered sugar.
