The flower-shaped tartlets are simple and quick to prepare sweets. They are tartlets with a particular shape that will win you over at the first taste.

They are perfect for breakfast, snack or for parties and buffets.

Ingredients

  • 3.2 oz butter
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 cup cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup potato starch
  • 0.3 cup sugar
  • 2.5 tsp baking powder
  • as needed strawberry jam

  • 1 Mixer
  • 1 Plastic wrap
  • 1 Rolling pin
  • 1 Pastry cutter
  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 Parchment paper

How to prepare the flower-shaped tartlets

  • Inside a bowl, place the sugar and softened butter. Cream them together with the electric mixer.

  • Add the egg yolks and continue mixing.

  • Finally, add the flour, potato starch, and baking powder. Knead by hand until you get a compact dough.

  • Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  • After the resting time, take the dough and roll it out with the rolling pin on a lightly floured surface.

  • Using a 2.75 inch pastry cutter, cut out the cookies.

  • With the excess dough, form small balls.

  • Place the balls along the entire circumference of the circle.

  • Place the obtained tartlets on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes. Be sure to check the cooking time based on your oven. (The tartlets should not darken too much).

  • Remove from the oven and let them cool well.

  • Slightly warm the jam and place two teaspoons in the center of each cookie.

  • Help yourself and enjoy.
