The poured coffee and chocolate cake is a delicious and fragrant cake. An irresistible cake for coffee lovers. As I mentioned, you can enjoy it at breakfast with a cup of coffee, or end a dinner with a touch of sweetness.
As you know, I love poured cakes, the idea of serving a pre-filled cake is unbeatable, so make sure to try it. I’m sure it will win you over at the first bite.
For the preparation, I used a gluten-free flour mix, and below I’ll show you which one I used. Please be careful of contamination if preparing this recipe for celiacs.

Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup coffee
- 1/2 cup sunflower oil
- 1 1/2 cups flour (gluten-free)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- 6 oz cream cheese
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips (or dark chocolate shavings)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/8 cup coffee
- 1 egg

How to Prepare the Poured Coffee and Chocolate Cake
First, prepare the cake. In a bowl, place the eggs and sugar. Mix with the electric mixer.
Add the coffee and oil. Mix.
Add the flour and baking powder. Mix well with the electric mixer, being careful not to form lumps. I used a gluten-free flour mix that works great for both sweet and savory dishes. If you want to take a look, click here.
Add the chocolate chips and stir with a spatula. Set the batter aside for a moment and prepare the filling.
In a bowl, place the cream cheese, chocolate, and sugar. Mix with a spoon.
Add the coffee and mix with the spoon.
Finally, add and incorporate an egg. Set aside for a moment.
Pour half of the mixture into a 20 cm pan previously greased and floured, and bake in a preheated oven at 356°F (180°C). Let it bake for about 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and add the filling to the pan. Cover with the remaining batter and bake again for another 15 minutes. Be sure to check the baking times based on your oven.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Before serving, if desired, dust with powdered sugar.
