Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup sunflower seed oil
  • 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 espresso cup coffee
  • to taste Nutella®

How to Prepare the Marbled Cake with Nutella and Cocoa

  • In a bowl, add the eggs and sugar. Mix with an electric mixer until the mixture is fluffy and frothy.

  • Add the milk and oil. Mix with the electric mixer. (If you prefer, you can replace the oil with 7 oz of melted butter).

  • Add the flour and baking powder. Mix everything well, being careful not to create lumps.

  • Divide the mixture into two equal parts. Add cocoa and coffee to one. Mix with the electric mixer.

  • Pour the light batter into a pre-greased and floured 9-inch pan.

  • Add the cocoa batter by spoonfuls.

  • With the help of two teaspoons, also add the Nutella, distributing it in small mounds on the surface of the cake.

  • Mix with a knife to achieve the marbled effect.

  • Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F. Let it bake for about 40 minutes. Please check the cooking times based on your oven by doing the toothpick test.

  • Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and if you like, dust with powdered sugar.

  • Serve yourself.
