  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Very cheap
  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: 15 cookies
  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (max 2 1/3 cups)
  • 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup sunflower oil
  • as needed Nutella®

Tools

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Fork
  • 1 Parchment paper
  • 1 Baking tray
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Rolling pin

How to Make Nutella Rolled Cookies

  • In a bowl, add the egg and sugar. Mix with the fork.

  • Add the oil and mix with the fork.

  • Finally, add the flour and baking powder. Start mixing with the fork, and when you can no longer mix with it, continue kneading by hand until you get a compact, homogeneous, and non-sticky dough. If necessary, add more flour, but do not exceed 2 1/3 cups, or the cookies will become hard.

  • Roll the dough with the rolling pin on a lightly floured surface and shape into a rectangle.

  • Spread Nutella over the entire surface of the rectangle and roll it up.

  • Cut the roll into slices. I got 15 slices, but the number depends on the size of your rectangle.

  • Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. I replaced the parchment paper with silicone mats, which I find very convenient and save on parchment paper. If you want to take a look at them, you can find them here: silicone mats.

  • If you like, brush the surface of the cookies with milk and add some granulated sugar.

  • Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F and let them cook for about 20 minutes.

  • Please check the cooking times based on your oven.

  • Remove from the oven, let them cool slightly, and help yourself.
