Poured cake with yogurt and ricotta. A simple and quick cake to prepare, perfect for breakfast and snack time.
Also great to serve as a dessert after a meal.
The poured cake with yogurt and ricotta is a super delicious cake. Thanks to the double baking, the filling stays in the center of the cake.
You can use the Greek yogurt flavor you prefer.
To make the cake even more delicious, I added chocolate chips, but you can also use chopped chocolate of the type you prefer. If you have chocolate to use up, this recipe is perfect.

How to prepare the poured cake with yogurt and ricotta
In a bowl, combine the eggs and sugar. Mix with an electric mixer until the mixture is fluffy and frothy.
Add the oil and the milk. Mix with the electric mixer.
Finally, add the flour, baking powder, and chocolate chips. Mix with the electric mixer, being careful not to create lumps.
Pour half of the obtained mixture into a previously buttered and floured 8-inch cake pan.
Bake in a preheated, static oven at 350°F and let it cook for about 12-15 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the filling. In a bowl, combine the ricotta, Greek yogurt, egg, chocolate chips, and sugar (add sugar to taste. You can omit it if you prefer. I used two tablespoons of sugar). Mix with the electric mixer until you get a smooth cream.
Take the cake out of the oven and add the filling on the surface. Level it and cover with the remaining batter. Bake for another 25-30 minutes. Make sure to verify the cooking time based on your oven.
Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and store in the refrigerator until serving.
Before serving, if you like, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
