Ingredients

  • 3.5 oz ricotta
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsps sunflower oil
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsps baking powder
  • 2 tbsps milk
  • 3.5 oz dark chocolate
  • as needed chocolate chips

How to Prepare the Ricotta and Chocolate Chip Cake

  • In a bowl, add the sugar and ricotta. Mix with a spoon.

  • Add the eggs and continue mixing with the spoon.

  • Add and incorporate the sunflower oil.

  • Add the flour and baking powder. Mix well so that no lumps form. I always mixed with a spoon. Add the milk. Mix.

  • Finally, add the coarsely chopped dark chocolate (you can use chocolate chips if you prefer). Mix with the spoon.

  • Transfer the mixture into a 9.5-inch pan, previously buttered and floured. Sprinkle the surface with chocolate chips.

  • Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F. Let it bake for about 30 minutes. Please check the cooking times based on your oven.

  • Remove from oven, let it cool slightly, and enjoy.
