Ring Cake with Chocolate Glaze. A simple and quick cake to prepare: perfect for breakfast and snacks.
The peculiarity of this cake is the use of glaze, which is added before baking. Below I will show you which glaze I used. If you don’t like it, you can use dark chocolate, and I’ll explain how.
The glaze will remain clearly visible and shiny on the top of the cake, be sure to try it, I’m sure it will win you over at the first taste.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup sunflower seed oil
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1 packet baking powder

How to Prepare the Ring Cake with Chocolate Glaze
In a bowl, add the eggs and sugar. Mix with an electric mixer, being careful not to create lumps.
Add the yogurt and oil. Mix with the mixer.
Finally, add the flour and baking powder. Mix with the electric mixer, being careful not to create lumps.
Pour the mixture into a previously buttered and floured ring cake pan. My pan does not need buttering or flouring. If you want to take a look, you can find it here.
On the surface of the cake, add a package of chocolate glaze, after following the instructions on how to prepare it. I used this glaze.
If you don’t use the glaze, before you start making the ring cake, melt 150 g of dark chocolate in a double boiler. When it is completely melted, turn off the heat and let it cool slightly.
After adding the glaze or dark chocolate, mix with a fork to create a marbled effect.
Sprinkle the ring cake with chocolate chips and bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F. Bake for about 40 minutes. Please check the cooking times according to your oven.
Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve.
