  • Cost: Very economical
  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: 15 Pieces
  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 9 oz ricotta
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • Half packet baking powder for sweets
  • 1 egg
  • as needed Nutella®

Tools

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Fork
  • 1 Baking tray
  • 1 Parchment paper

Steps

  • In a bowl, add the ricotta, sugar, and egg. Mix with a fork.

  • Add the flour and baking powder. Knead with your hands until you get a homogeneous dough. Depending on the consistency of the ricotta you use, you may need to add some milk or a bit more flour, so you need to judge it by eye. The dough should be soft, homogeneous, and not sticky.

  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface with a rolling pin. You should obtain a rectangle about 1/8 inch thick.

  • Spread Nutella over the entire rectangle, then roll it up.

  • Cut the roll into slices about 1/2 inch thick.

  • Place the rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  • Bake in a preheated, fan-assisted oven at 350°F. Let it bake for about 15 minutes. Please check the baking times according to your oven.

  • Take them out of the oven and enjoy immediately, they are better fresh. And if you like, sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
