The star cake with chocolate chips is very simple to prepare. It’s perfect for breakfast, snack, or to serve as a dessert after a meal.
The preparation is very simple, and the necessary ingredients are few. Be sure to try it! I’m sure it will win you over at the first taste.
You can enjoy it without guilt, since it contains neither butter nor milk. It is therefore also suitable for those who are lactose intolerant. Of course, the lactose intolerant should check for lactose in the chocolate.
If you don’t have a star-shaped mold, you can use a 20/22 cm mold.

Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 package baking powder
- 1/2 cup sunflower oil
- 1.75 oz liqueur (to taste)
- 1.75 oz water
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- to taste sugar (for decorating)

How to Prepare Star Cake with Chocolate Chips
Inside a bowl, place the eggs and sugar. Mix with a fork.
Add the oil, water, and liqueur. You can use the liqueur you prefer. I used rum. Mix with the fork.
Add the flour and baking powder. Continue mixing with the fork, being careful not to create lumps.
Finally, add and incorporate the chocolate chips.
Pour the obtained mixture into a previously greased and floured star-shaped mold.
If you like, before baking, add granulated sugar to the surface of the cake. This will create a crispy crust during baking.
Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F and let it cook for about 30/35 minutes. Be sure to check the cooking times based on your oven.
Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve.
