How to Prepare the Two-tone Shortcrust Ring Cake
Place all the ingredients (except for the cocoa) in a bowl and start mixing with a spoon.
When you can no longer mix, transfer to a floured surface and knead by hand until you obtain a smooth, homogeneous, and non-sticky dough.
Divide the dough into two equal parts, and in one part add the unsweetened cocoa powder. Knead to incorporate the cocoa into the dough.
Work the two doughs and form two logs.
Intertwine the two logs.
Place everything inside a previously greased and floured 8-inch bundt pan.
Using a kitchen brush, brush the surface of the ring cake with milk.
Sprinkle with granulated sugar and bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F. Let it cook for about 35/40 minutes. Please check the cooking times based on your oven.
Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and enjoy.
