Ingredients

  • 3 Golden apples (untreated)
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
  • 2 tablespoons pine nuts
  • 0.67 fl oz rum
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3.38 fl oz fresh liquid cream
  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar

Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 428 degrees Fahrenheit. Soak the raisins in warm water for 10 minutes, then squeeze and dry them with paper towels. Wash the apples well without peeling them, use the apple corer to remove the central part without piercing the bottom, and place them in a small baking pan lined with parchment paper. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, raisins, pine nuts, rum, and ground cinnamon.

  • Fill the cavity of the apples to the top, even letting it overflow a little. Pour the remaining rum into the hole as well. Bake at 428 degrees Fahrenheit and cook for 35 minutes, you’ll see the apples crack and take on color. While they cook, whip the cream and sweeten it. Once cooked, to make this dessert even more delicious, serve it with whipped cream and a pinch of cinnamon.

Tips

When buying fruit, check the origin carefully and opt for organic, which allows us to use the peel as well. In the case of apples, the peel should never be discarded as it has beneficial effects on our body, its properties are unique and have been known since ancient times. And as the saying goes… an apple a day keeps the doctor away.
