Beer Turkey Wings

The Beer Turkey Wings are a very tasty and also economical main course; the total cost of this recipe does not exceed €5, which is not to be underestimated. The purchase was by chance, not finding chicken wings I glanced at turkey wings and I must say I was very satisfied. Cooking with beer made the meat very tender and gave it a good flavor.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz turkey (wings)
  • 1 3/4 cups light beer
  • 1 white onion
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp fine salt

Steps

  • Take the wings and wash them well, dry them and pass them over the flame to remove any small feathers. Being very large, they should be cut in half. Chop the onion and rosemary (if you tie the latter, you can leave it whole) and let them soften in a not too large pan where you have put the extra virgin olive oil. As soon as the onion takes color, add the turkey wings and let them brown, turning them on all sides, and salt them.

  • When they are well browned, pour the beer over everything, first on high heat to let it evaporate and then lower it to the minimum and cover with a lid. Continue cooking for 40 minutes, turning the wings occasionally. If it dries too much, add a little beer, but it shouldn’t happen. When cooking is finished, serve the Beer Turkey Wings on the plate with its sauce.
