Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 2 tbsps brown sugar
  • 1 egg

With one sheet of puff pastry, you can cut out 15 masks. I used the scraps to make confetti.

  • Food scale
  • Parchment paper
  • Brush
  • Cutter for mask

Steps

If you don’t want to buy the mask cutter, take a sheet of parchment paper and draw the shape you like best.

  • Preheat the oven to 392°F. Open the puff pastry sheet and lay it flat on the work surface. Place the chosen cutter and use the tip of a sharp knife to trace all the edges. Lift together with the attached paper and place on a parchment-covered baking sheet.

  • Continue until the pastry is used up and with the scraps make confetti or strips to roll, I used the handles of wooden spoons. Let rest for 30 minutes in the fridge. In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush the surface of the masks, sprinkle them with brown sugar and bake. Cook for 15-20 minutes, checking that they don’t get too dark.
