The Chocolate-Covered Cookie Treats are a must-make, egg-free and no-bake delight. How did they come about? I had leftover dry cookies from the Cookie Salami recipe and thought of crumbling them, adding almonds, candied orange peel, and small piles dipped in white and dark chocolate . . . a real delicacy!

Steps
Pour the sugar and cooled melted butter into a bowl and mix them with a whisk. Heat the milk and add it to the 3.5 oz of melted white chocolate. Blend well and add everything to the bowl with the butter and sugar. Add the chopped almonds.
Also add the candied orange peel cut into cubes and the crumbled cookies. Mix well with the spatula so that all the dry parts are well incorporated. Wait 5 minutes to allow it to firm up, then use two teaspoons to scoop a small amount and place it on a tray covered with a sheet of parchment paper. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
While the treats are hardening, melt the white and dark chocolate separately in 2 small bowls in the microwave. Using two toothpicks or a small fork, dip each treat in the chocolate and place them on the parchment paper. Place everything in the fridge and after a few hours, they will be ready to enjoy . . . a real delicacy!
