The Glass Cookies are classic shortbread cookies made with shortcrust pastry where a hole is cut in the center and filled with crushed hard candies that, when melted during baking, create a stunning stained glass effect that will be colored based on the type of candy. These star-shaped glass cookies are not only delicious but can also be used as Christmas decorations. Depending on the cookie cutters you have, you can make little trees, Christmas balls, or gingerbread men. Remember, if you want to hang them, you will need to make a small hole for the ribbon. They are very easy, try making them with me . . .

  • Preheat the oven in static mode to 338°F

After the resting time, take the dough and roll it out with the help of the rolling pin to a thickness of 1/4 inch. Use the cookie cutter to cut stars and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Any central scraps can be kneaded again or baked separately to make small cookies. Use a weight to crush the candies and fill the holes with the pieces. If you want to hang them, remember to make a small hole that will need to be redone once baked. Bake at middle height at 338°F for 14 minutes. Let them cool before lifting them so the stained-glass part has time to harden.
