Marsala Cutlets with Ham and Cheese

An alternative to the sad buttered slices? Certainly, the Marsala Cutlets with Ham and Cheese have a different look. Just a light flouring and a dash of marsala make the appearance and final taste very appealing. If we decide to prepare them for children, just wet with broth and skip the marsala.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices veal cutlet
  • 3.5 tbsp flour (for flouring the slices)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 7 oz stracchino cheese
  • 4 slices cooked ham
  • 3.5 oz marsala
  • 4 leaves sage
  • 0.5 tsp fine salt

Tools

  • Food Scale
  • Cutting Board
  • Pan 11 inch

Steps

  • Make small cuts around the veal slices to prevent them from curling during cooking. Heat a pan where all the slices can fit, melt the butter, and as soon as it sizzles, place the floured meat on both sides, shaking off the excess flour. Let it color on one side, turn it, and immediately place a slice of cooked ham on top of each.

  • Place pieces of stracchino on the ham, wet with marsala and, keeping the heat high, let it evaporate. Pour the boiling broth over it and as soon as it reduces, turn off the heat and leave it with the lid on for a few minutes to let the cheese melt. Decorate with a fragrant sage leaf and serve the Marsala Cutlets with Ham and Cheese hot.
