Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs (medium)
  • 1 tsp lemon zest (grated)
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 vial vanilla (flavor)
  • 3 1/2 tbsp whole milk (warm)
  • 1/4 tsp fine salt
  • 2 apples
  • 1/4 cup 70% dark chocolate

Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F in static mode. Put the eggs with the sugar in a bowl and whip them into a foam using an electric mixer. Gradually pour in the melted and cooled butter and blend using the manual whisk. Add the grated lemon zest, salt, and gradually the sifted flour and baking powder.

  • As the flour is incorporated, pour in the warm milk. Finish by adding the apples cut into large pieces and half of the coarsely chopped chocolate. Pour into the pan lined with parchment paper on the bottom and sides, level, and cover with the remaining chocolate. Bake in the middle of the oven and cook for 40 minutes. Leave for another 5 minutes in the oven with the door ajar, then remove from the oven and let cool.
