Notes and Variations
You can use Golden, Renette, or other types of apples, as long as they are not too mealy.
The alcohol in the rum will completely evaporate during cooking, but if you don’t want to use alcohol, you can add half a vial of rum flavor to the mixture.
I recommend soaking the raisins for at least 20 minutes so that they become plump and soft.
Cooking times may vary depending on your oven, the mold used, and the moisture released by the apples. Always check by inserting a toothpick in the center.
