Chicken breast skewers, tasty and very simple to make, wrapped with prosciutto… they are prepared in a few minutes and bake in the oven with just a drizzle of oil. A great idea for an easy and quick main course, to which you only need to add a good side of vegetables or potatoes. The chicken skewers with prosciutto are appetizing and flavorful, great if you accompany them with a creamy yogurt sauce or mayonnaise… give them a try too!

Ingredients
- 10.5 oz chicken breast
- 3.5 oz prosciutto (in slices)
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 pinch sweet paprika
- lemon zest
- herbs (to taste)
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt

- Parchment paper
- Bowl
- 8 Metal skewers or bamboo
Preparation
Clean the chicken breast by removing small bones and tendons.
Cut it into 8 strips, lengthwise. Place them in a bowl, add a chopped garlic clove, a pinch of sweet paprika, the grated zest of half a lemon, a drizzle of olive oil, and a handful of herbs to taste (1).
Mix, cover with plastic wrap, and let marinate in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
Afterwards, take the chicken strips, thread them onto skewers and lightly salt them.
Wrap each skewer with a slice of prosciutto. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, adding a drizzle of oil on top (2).
Place the tray in a fan oven at 356°F and bake for 18-20 minutes, adjusting according to the thickness of the meat.
The chicken skewers with prosciutto are ready, serve them hot, optionally accompanied by mayonnaise, mustard, or yogurt sauce.
Tips and Variations
Try to use soft prosciutto, not too lean, otherwise it will become very salty after cooking. You can optionally replace it with speck.
You can flavor the chicken breast with herbs or spices to taste, you can omit the garlic if you don’t like it.
As an alternative to the oven, you can cook the skewers in an air fryer, or in a pan.
