Notes and variations
You can use the plain biscuits you have available, even different types if you have leftovers. If you don’t want to use the liqueur (which is very little anyway), you can sprinkle them with milk or coffee.
You can replace pistachios with other almonds or hazelnuts.
If you use 70% dark chocolate, you can omit the unsweetened cocoa. In any case, adjust the amount of sugar to your taste, tasting the mixture before shaping it.
If you prefer, you can still add an egg yolk, preferably pasteurized to avoid risks.
