Notes and Variations
You can use hot-smoked salmon (the one I used was flavored with dill), cold-smoked salmon, natural salmon (safely prepared), or fresh salmon seared in a pan.
You can replace the cucumber with sliced avocado. You can omit the onion if you don’t like it.
If you don’t have friselle, you can replace them with toasted bread crostini.
I recommend preparing the friselle at the moment and serving them immediately to maintain their texture.
