Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate chip cookies, a delicious treat to prepare in just a few minutes, with plenty of dark chocolate chips, perfect to make in a few minutes, a great idea to fill the Christmas stocking, they will be well received by both adults and children. Inspired by American-style cookies, I thought of making some soft cookies with lots of chocolate chips. After the success of the soft walnut cookies and the almond paste cookies, I am sure you will love these cookies too, easy and quick to make and so delicious with so much chocolate in chips. To make these cookies, you need a bowl, and you mix everything first with a fork and then continue by hand, both to incorporate the chocolate chips into the dough and to shape the cookies. In just a few minutes, they will be in the oven, and the satisfaction you will feel when you taste one will make you want to make them every time you crave something delicious with minimal effort, really in the oven in 5 minutes.

Ingredients for 20 soft chocolate chip cookies

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 7 oz dark chocolate chips

Tools to prepare chocolate chip cookies

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Fork
  • 2 Parchment paper
  • 2 Baking sheets

Steps to prepare chocolate chip cookies

  • In a large bowl, combine the two types of sugar with a whole egg and the melted butter, mix quickly, then add the other ingredients, the vanilla extract, baking powder, and flour, mix to obtain a homogeneous mixture, which will be quite soft. Finally, add the chocolate chips and work quickly by hand to incorporate them into the dough.

  • With clean hands, work a rounded teaspoonful of the mixture between your hands to form a ball, place them on the baking sheet, well spaced from each other, lined with parchment paper. I have placed about 10-12 cookies per baking sheet.

  • Place in the fridge while preparing the second tray, and preheat the oven to 350°F.

  • Prepare the second tray of cookies and put them in the fridge; meanwhile, the oven will have reached temperature, ready to bake the first tray, in a static hot oven at 350°F for about 18 minutes, until they are slightly golden on the surface. Remove from the oven and let them cool on the tray, do not move them because they are still very soft, meanwhile proceed to bake the second tray. If you want them softer even after cooling, bake them 5 minutes less.

  • Once cooled, keep the cookies in a closed container, they will keep perfectly for several days, but I doubt they will last more than half an hour, they are so good that they disappear as soon as they come out of the oven, so also consider doubling the doses, they are amazing.
