Delicious and Quick Air Fryer Stuffed Peppers

Delicious air fryer stuffed peppers, prepared in just a few minutes and truly delightful. I decided to try cooking in an air fryer, instead of a pot or oven, curious about how they would turn out, and I have to say the taste was truly delicious, I used only a small amount of oil, just a spray on the surface before cooking, and yet they turned out really great and golden. In the filling, I put some meat and some sausage, mixed it all like meatballs with soaked stale bread, an egg, and then seasonings, garlic, parsley, and a mix of grated cheeses. I quickly hollowed out the peppers and stuffed them with this delicious filling, the final result was so good that I will definitely make the recipe again soon, my husband, who doesn’t really like peppers, told me they were really tasty, and when I told him I cooked them in 10 minutes he couldn’t believe it, but it’s true, in the oven it would take a few more minutes, as well as in a pan.

I leave you with other stuffed pepper recipe ideas, with different cooking methods, of course, they can also be stuffed with tuna or different fillings without meat or fish.

Tools for Preparing Stuffed Peppers with Sausage in Air Fryer, Oven or Stovetop

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Small bowl
  • 1 Oil sprayer

Steps for Preparing Air Fryer Stuffed Peppers

  • Start by soaking a nice slice of stale bread in cold water, in a bowl.

  • Prepare the peppers, wash and dry them, cut them in half lengthwise, remove seeds and filaments and the attachment, this way they will be more digestible, the choice of peppers helps with this as yellow ones are usually more digestible.

  • Arrange the halved peppers on a cutting board and sprinkle with a little salt inside.

  • Prepare the filling for the stuffed peppers. Place the strongly squeezed and finely crumbled bread in a bowl. Add the meat, and the crumbled sausage, removed from the casing, add garlic, parsley, and grated cheeses, an egg, cracked into a small bowl, and a pinch of salt, and mix to obtain a homogeneous mixture.

  • Fill the peppers with this mixture until the mixture is used up.

  • Now just cook our delicious peppers. This time I cooked them in the air fryer, so I placed them in the basket, sprayed them with a little oil, and cooked for 10 minutes in a hot air fryer at 392°F. The base of the pepper remains slightly crunchy, if you want it more cooked just turn the peppers after 10 minutes and continue cooking for another couple of minutes.

  • Alternatively, you can cook the peppers for about 15-20 minutes in a pan, with a drop of oil and water, with a lid, or in the oven, placed in a baking pan, sprayed with a little oil and cooked for about 20 minutes at 356-392°F.

  • Once cooked they are ready to be enjoyed, great just prepared, but also delicious cold.
