Mediterranean-Style Tuna Bites Quick in a Pan

What a delight fresh tuna is! Today we’re preparing it cut into small pieces, Mediterranean-style tuna bites quick in a pan. We’re enjoying a very tasty tuna wrapped in a delicious sauce that inevitably leads to dipping bread. Today I wanted to prepare a Mediterranean dish with slightly unusual ingredients: I used lots of red Tropea onions, fresh tuna, cherry tomatoes, seedless olives, preferably Taggiasca or even better the Calabrian monacal ones. I added plenty of fragrant basil picked from my terrace pot, yes, the plant from last year, and instead of pine nuts, I used sunflower seeds, one of my favorite summer flowers. The combination of flavors was truly excellent, so I decided to share the recipe with you. I’m sure you’ll love this dish; it’s great as an appetizer, main course, or even as a sauce for a good pasta dish.
