- 7 oz mezzi rigatoni
- 10.5 oz fresh tuna
- 10 Leccino olives
- 5 cherry tomatoes
- 1 red Tropea onion
- 1/3 cup white wine
- to taste sunflower seeds
- to taste olive oil
- to taste salt
- to taste basil

Steps for preparing pasta with fresh tuna
Finely chop the onion and cook it in a pan with hot olive oil. Let it cook on low heat, meanwhile cut the cherry tomatoes in half. Add a little salt and the shelled sunflower seeds to the onion. Let them toast and add the cherry tomatoes, let cook for a couple of minutes.
Cut the tuna into cubes and put it in the pan, let it brown and deglaze with white wine and let it dry on high heat, do not let it cook too long, now add the olives. Finally, turn off the heat and add basil and salt if needed.
Cook the pasta al dente in boiling salted water. Drain without discarding the cooking water.
Sauté the pasta in the pan with the prepared fresh tuna sauce. Let it soak well, adding a little pasta cooking water. A few moments and we are ready to serve our delicious pasta with fresh tuna.
