Pork steak with king oyster mushrooms, a quick and refined second course, with very tender meat enriched by the delicious taste of king oyster mushrooms. To prepare this delightful dish perfect for bread dipping, I used simple pork steaks that I deboned, the classic chops, the ones we usually don’t know how to cook to avoid them becoming dry and tough, but now I’ll give you a nice idea. To season them, I prepared flavored breadcrumbs with parsley, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. I used king oyster mushrooms to enrich the taste; if you’ve already tried them, you surely know they are very special mushrooms, with a meaty texture, intense aroma, and taste that make them special and also make a simple steak special, which, frankly, isn’t that simple. The light breading really makes it special, so let’s see how to prepare this delicious dish, and I will reveal some tips to make the meat tender and juicy during the preparation.

Steps to Prepare Mushroom Steak
Prepare the meat, debone it, and gently pound it with a meat tenderizer, without overdoing it to avoid breaking it. If it’s thick enough, no protection is needed; otherwise, work using a sheet of parchment paper.
In the chopper, prepare the breading with breadcrumbs, garlic, parsley, and a little chili pepper. Finely chop and sprinkle the meat with the breading, set aside.
In a pan, add a tablespoon or two of extra virgin olive oil, add minced garlic and chopped chili pepper, then add the mushrooms and salt, let them brown, then deglaze with white wine, and let cook for a few minutes with the lid on. At the end of cooking, add chopped parsley.
Set the mushrooms aside. In the pan, add a little more oil and let the steaks brown on both sides. Salt and add the mushrooms, let cook for a couple of minutes with the lid on, then we are ready to enjoy our pork steak with king oyster mushrooms. It’s important not to overcook the meat to avoid making it tough.
As an alternative, you can use pork neck or chicken breast, which are even more tender.
