Apple Chips – Hot Air Fryer

The apple chips are healthy and tasty snacks that are very easy to make. In fact, with just two ingredients and using the hot air fryer, you will get delicious apple chips with cinnamon. I recommend enjoying the chips within half an hour after cooking, as they will still be crispy.

apple chips
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Economical
  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: 1Piece
  • Cooking methods: Air Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • to taste ground cinnamon

Tools

  • Hot Air Fryer

Preparation

  • To make the apple chips, wash the apple well and dry it. With the help of an apple corer, remove the core and cut the apple into thin slices.

  • Flavor the apple slices with cinnamon and place them inside the basket of the hot air fryer.

  • Cook the apple chips in the hot air fryer at 302°F (150°C) for 20-30 minutes, depending on the thickness of the chips. During this cooking, check every 5 minutes and flip them over. Cook at this temperature until the chips no longer look “shiny” or have “wet” spots.

  • Increase the temperature to 320°F (160°C) and cook for another 4-8 minutes in total.

  • Check every 2 minutes; during this phase, the chips will start to curl and acquire color quickly. Remove the chips from the basket that color faster than the others.

  • Enjoy the crispy apple chips within half an hour after they come out of the hot air fryer. The chips can be stored for up to 5 days in a container at room temperature but will have a soft texture.
